The spark
As longtime friends and new moms, we craved a way to share our love for food with kids in a fun, accessible way. With a small initial investment and boundless heart, we set out to blend food, design, and early learning through playful books centered around food. Our first releases, Little Book of Pasta and Little Book of Cookies quickly sold out, sparking momentum for new titles, bundled sets, and the beginning of a flavorful journey.

The Growth
What began at a kitchen table started gaining serious momentum online. Operations expanded dramatically, turning Caitlin’s garage into a full-on fulfillment center. As demand for their books and expanded product lines, including custom apparel and gift-ready bundles, soared, they navigated the delightful chaos of rapid growth. While balancing family life, hand-packing every order, and setting up systems for efficiency as a multi-channel brand, their efforts culminated in a wildly successful first holiday season. This laid the groundwork for an incredible 2024 and the company found its new name, Chunky Deli.
